DYNAMIC CHORD‘s shuffle series is finally out. We start off by reviewing “TRY TO RISE” by TRYS. This lineup includes: Takuya Eguchi (vocals – rêve parfait), Shinnosuke Tachibana (Guitar – KYOHSO), Soma Saito (Bass – Liar-S) and Takahiro Sakurai (Drums – Apple-Polisher). New chemistry, new sound and a completely different approach made this unit standout.

Track analysis:
1 – TRY TO RISE
Don’t be fooled! Despite the emotional piano melody setting the mood for this song in the intro, this song is actually an interesting electronic rock piece packing a big punch. The punk rockish drums, a driving force in apple-polisher‘s sound, mix with the shredding guitar riffs, a trademark for Kyohso in what is by far a perfect mix. Add to this the thunderous bassline and Eguchi vocals and you’re in for a rocking tune with a lot of depth. Given that rêve parfait doesn’t release good songs with that much consistency, it was actually satisfying to find Eguchi finally being provided with a good instrumental piece to give him an opportunity to shine. All in all, this was a successful shuffle unit to kick off our DYNAMIC CHORD 2nd shuffle series of reviews.
