The multitalented seiyuu and singer-songwriter Toshiyuki Toyonaga is working on his new album “Charactanswer”.

“Charactanswer” is the title of Toshiyuki Toyonaga‘s upcoming mini-album set to be released on 29/11/2023.
The mini-album is going to be available in regular and limited editions (both with 9 songs).
On November 1, 2023, those who purchase the pre-sale edition (only available on Toshiyuki Toyonaga’s store and limited to 2000 copies) will get the full album, including a total of 10 songs.

- Pre-sale limited edition: CD (total of 10 songs, including the bonus track “This 15 Host Song”) + Blu-ray of “Toshiyuki Toyonaga live “BEST!! ~Ongaku wa hibi no jinsei da doke ni mo hikari wa atari tsunagareru~”
Commentary
“Charactanswer” is going to be released in commemoration of Toyonaga Toshiyuki’s 10th anniversary as an artist- It is a collection of answer songs that he wrote lyrics and composed for the characters he has portrayed throughout his career.

The album will include the title track which premiered during the 2nd encore “Toshiyuki Toyonaga live “BEST!! ~Ongaku wa hibi no jinsei da doke ni mo hikari wa atari tsunagareru~“, live show that was held on 20/08/2022 celebrating Toyonaga’s path as a solo artist up until then.
A comment by Toyonaga was shared on his official website:
“Everyone, thank you for your patience. It’s been over a year since I announced the production of my new album.
When I thought about something that is uniquely mine and something that only I can do, I came up with the concept of an answer song collection dedicated to the many characters I’ve portrayed.
As I wrote all the songs from scratch this time, I reread the scripts, and it felt like rereading my graduation album.
Although this album is titled as a 10th-anniversary album, I don’t personally feel like it’s been 10 years. This is the first time I’ve written and composed all the songs for a full album since “MUSIC OF THE ENTERTAINMENT” (2014).
I hope that those who have been supporting me for a long time can enjoy the changes of the past 10 years, and I also hope that fans of the characters will enjoy it.
I hope this album will be an opportunity for you to discover characters you didn’t know before and encounter new works. Please give it a listen! Thank you very much.“
