Toshiyuki Someya, stage actor/actor and seiyuu, wrapped up his fan meeting in Shanghai to promote his second photobook「９／０」.
“9/0” was released this past August. Someya‘s second photobook includes candid photos, interviews and other special treats just for his fans.
Given the hot response the photobook received in Japan as well as overseas, a Chinese version of his photobook is going to be issued in November. To celebrate that announcement, a fan meeting “染谷俊之2017ファンミーティング in Shanghai” was scheduled in Shanghai on 03/09/2017 which Someya attended.
Webnewtype magazine mentions that Someya is one of the most loved stage actors in Japan. He is called by Japanese media/fans as a “stage craftsman“, known for his fantastic, realistic portrayals and performances as well as his method acting that have impressed in “Prince of Tennis“, “Yowamushi Pedal“, “Touken Ranbu” and “Messiah“.
During the event he talked about previous roles, his favorite ones, there was a special Chinese corner in which his fans taught him some words and expressions in Mandarin as well as a game and “situation” corners in which he played three different types of boyfriends. By the end of the event he expressed his wish to set foot on stage in China.

After successfully completing his fan meeting, he returned to Japan to work on his upcoming musicals, dramas and Unicorn Jr.‘s new singles.
Currently Someya has his hands full as he’s got several projects overlapping at the moment.
Besides the movie “星降る夜のペット“, currently in theaters in Japan, he’s part of Uta no Prince Sama‘s “Masquerade Mirage” musical as Reiji Kotobuki, the currently airing drama “あいの結婚相談所“, the upcoming musical/stage play “Ikebukuro Westgate Park“,
He was also recently announced as part of the Galaxy Express 999 galaxy opera musical alongside seiyuu/stage actor/musician, back from his hiatus, Miyu Irino.
Unicorn Jr., Pythagoras Production group that consists of Shouta Aoi, Chiharu Sawashiro and Toshiyuki Someya will release a new song for the upcoming “MARGINAL#4 KISS Kara Tsukuru Big Bang” Best of album. He’ll also be part of the third volume of the new installment of the CD series “IDOL OF STARLIGHT KISS2” as well as part of “西遊記” (Journey to the West), new shuffle unit from the Marginal #4 franchise. All of this before the end of 2017.
Given his packed schedule, Someya won’t be able to attend next year’s Rejet Fes (Unicorn Jr.).
