Your favorite male seiyuu, your favorite music releases. THTFHQ AWARDS are back and VOTING is now OPEN!
Welcome to December and also to this year’s edition of the THTFHQ Awards!
A new decade is here and while 2020 proved to be quite the weird year for both seiyuu and their fans, there was plenty of amazing music being released and even unexpected solo debuts in the mix.
And we are back for the 3rd THTFHQ Awards, the annual awards survey in which popularity is not a driving factor and all male seiyuu that were active in the music industry in the present year have their right to the spotlight!
Music is what will drive these awards, nothing more.
And your vote matters.
And you will vote only for the artists you are a fan of. Simple.
No popularity will come into question because THTFHQ will cover the final results of all seiyuu featured in this survey and no rankings will be made.
I hope that, somehow, this brief exercise will make you revisit music by your favorite seiyuu, and jam a bit before the year ends.
Not only you can vote, but you can also have a chance of having your comments featured in the article and video versions of the results.
Make sure to fill in your name/nickname in the respective section in the survey (comments with no name/nickname won’t be featured).
However, please refrain from giving reasons that have nothing to do with the music release or the singer’s voice.
Any comments about the seiyuu’s looks, R-rated talk, or dissing other artists to elevate your favorites won’t be considered to be featured. Additionally, only comments in English will be considered.
THTFHQ AWARDS 2020 are quite the nostalgic and fun celebration of male seiyuu’s efforts / work in the music industry.
Hope you have some fun while participating, reminiscing about this year’s awesome music releases!
Before voting, please read the FAQs as there won’t be replies to any questions that are answered on these.
If you have any question that was not answered, find a glitch or the survey is not working, please leave a comment below instead of contacting via contact page (there won’t be replies to any issues about the survey through there).
F.A.Qs
For how long will the voting be open?
THTFHQ Awards kick off on December 24th at 00h00 WET and ends on December 30th at 23h59 WET. Daily reminders will be made once per day on THTFHQ’s social media accounts.
When will I get to know the results?
On January 5, 2021. THTFHQ will unveil those at a time to be determined via written piece and video.
How many times can I vote?
Only once during the whole voting period.
What if I vote several times?
Your votes past the first one are deleted. Also, why would you do that? You’re self-sabotaging your favorite seiyuu by having only your favorite release come on top.
Those found tampering with the voting – voting more than 1 time on this survey – will have their IP banned from visiting this website.
I can’t vote! Please, help!
The survey should be mobile friendly however, a couple of notes:
If you encounter any issues with accessing the voting, it is recommended for MAC users to use Google Chrome to complete the survey or, for iOS users, enable DESKTOP MODE.
If you are an android user and found yourself unable to vote, please make sure that you have “desktop mode” enabled in the options. After that, try again. It should work.
Who are the seiyuu eligible for this edition of THTFHQ AWARDS?
– Solo artists and Bands (not stemming from an anime or 2D projects)
– Units (duos or groups created with no connection to anime or 2D projects)
Why aren’t groups from 2D projects like Utapri, IDOLiSH7, Hypnosis Mic, Ensemble Stars! and others up for voting?
These awards are solely to celebrate the efforts of male seiyuu with careers in the music industry outside 2D or anime related music projects.
With this in mind, only seiyuu that made a debut as one of the categories in the topic above are eligible for voting.
You forgot to add “seiyuu X” to the survey. Can you add him?
Unfortunately no. As soon as the survey goes live, THTFHQ won’t make any changes to it to avoid tampering of the results.
Are the THTFHQ AWARDS a popularity contest?
No.
Fans get to vote for the best releases by the seiyuu, bands and groups that they like.
In the end, all names featured on this poll will get a brief summary about their most voted release (there won’t be a mention of how many votes the release got) and a short bio on the seiyuu/band’s career so far.
No ranking between seiyuu will be made. Votes will only count to decide the favorite release within a seiyuu’s repertoire of CDs released in 2020.
I am not a fan of one of the seiyuu in the survey, can I skip them?
Yes, you can.
Whenever a name on the screen is not in your favorites, you do not know about or are not a fan of, please scroll down to the next seiyuu. Vote only for those you are a fan of and remember, if you accidentally select a release by a seiyuu you don’t like, that vote can’t be removed.
Are THTFHQ Awards 2020 sponsored? Are you going to hand awards to the seiyuu in real life?
These awards are, in no way, sponsored.
THTFHQ Awards are a way to connect with our awesome community and get to know what is the music they like and the seiyuu they love in every given year. In this format, and at the same time, fans will get to check the pulse of their own fandom by voting for their favorite seiyuu music releases.
Although THTFHQ does want to start handing awards to seiyuu, unfortunately this will not be at the moment possible.
Contrary to popular belief, contacting seiyuu talent agencies and getting a reply from them on the matter (handing something bigger than a letter) is hard, not to mention, financially impossible without sponsors.
