A vocal powerhouse is making his debut. If making women swoon with his voice in games and anime was not enough, his new endeavor is bound to make more damages.

Takuya Satou, 31 year old seiyuu, known for his roles as Masamune Tooya in “Norn9: Norn+Nonet” game and Toshiki Kai in card game anime “Cardfight!! Vanguard“,  has announced his solo debut.

More details under the cuff.

Known for his deep voice that many new fans tend to acknowledge as sounding close to a mix of Daisuke Ono and Tatsuhisa Suzuki‘s voice tones, Takuya Satou isn’t a total stranger to singing – although so far he hadn’t released anything as a unit or solo wise -. He’s already sang a multitude of character songs for several anime and games he’s been a part of, and each and every time he impressed.

He has that rockstar aura in each of his vocal performances.

For a singer with such a deep voice to control it, managing to sound interesting throughout a song instead of sounding like a gregorian chant festival in a church (sadly, we know that there are a couple of seiyuu singing like that), Takuya Satou has everything he can get to be a big name in the music business.

The official announcement was made only a few hours ago but fans are already getting excited about it.

Takuya Satou is going to debut under the famous label Frontier Works – known for its anime and drama CD series – it’s unclear what is the musical genre adopted for his debut, but looking at his singing traits and delivery in past songs – it’s most likely that it’ll be something in the pop-rock realm.

Titled “Set Sail“, the debut single is scheduled to be released on 25/11/2015, available in a unique version. Regarding the tracklist, we have the confirmation that the single will include a total of 6 tracks, one of them titled “You Can Make it!” the opening theme for Satou‘s web radio show “Satou Takuya no Yaremasu“, airing on Animate.TV.

The full tracklist is the following:
01.「You can make it!」
02.「Never Fade」
03.「雨夜のリグレット」
04.「You can make it!」(カラオケver.)
05.「Never Fade」(カラオケver.)
06.「雨夜のリグレット」(カラオケver.)

So far these are the only elements revealed regarding the single. Cover art, bonuses and other additional features are still left to be unveiled at a later date.

Animate and Amazon.JP have already opened the pre-orders for the single – you can find it here and here. CDJAPAN still hasn’t listed the single in their online store. As soon as that is available we’ll update this news.
