Seiyuu Kouhaku goes online, brings an all veteran seiyuu cast to the spotlight and changes a bit its theme for its new edition.
Seiyuu Kouhaku is a seiyuu singing battle festival created and founded by veteran seiyuu Jouji Nakata. Its first edition was held at Maihama Amphitheater in 2019.
2020’s edition was cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions and recently, a new edition, completely online for viewers, will be held.
Seiyuu Kouhaku Sunrise ONLINE LIVE is going to be livestreamed via PIA LIVE STREAM on 21/02/2021. To watch this livestream you’ll have to purchase a ticket for it.
The MCs for this event are Daisuke Sakaguchi and Daisuke Namikawa.
For this edition there won’t be teams however, the cast will be comprised of all veteran voice actors, which is a first for Seiyuu Kouhaku.
The cast will challenge themselves performing songs from classic anime series produced by studio Sunrise such as Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, Yuusha-Ou GaoGaiGar, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Future GPX Cyber Formula, City Hunter and many more.
