Please let us know in the comments other seiyuu events – with male seiyuu in attendance – that were cancelled and or postponed due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak. We will make sure to keep this article open, with daily updates.
About the Coronavirus:
The new Coronavirus or COVID-19 originated in Wuhan in China in December 2019. Since then, cities in China are in lockdown and around the world cases of infected people have been reported daily. Up until recently, with the situation in Daegu, South Korea, China was the only country in which the Coronavirus had spread with considerable intensity.
Japan has reported cases of people infected with the Coronavirus and, as a countermeasure to a possible spread of the virus in the country, seiyuu, music, and other events across the country are starting to be either cancelled or postponed.
A note that on January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the current Coronavirus situation to be a world health emergency.
On February 26, 2020, the Japanese government announced a new policy to counter the spread of the Coronavirus. The government demanded all events that draw crowds be cancelled due to the fact that is virtually impossible to make sure everyone will be safe.
We are live updating this article.
New information on cancelled male seiyuu events will be added as it is announced by official sources.
