With a unique raspy voice, an unreal rap flow and a lot of talent waiting to be discovered, Yukihiro Nozuyama is one of the biggest new talents in the seiyuu industry.
Yukihiro Nozuyama
KANJI: 野津山 幸宏
BORN: December 24, 1996
OCCUPATION: Voice actor, narrator, singer
HEIGHT: 170cm
Yukihiro Nozuyama was born on December 24, 1996, in Osaka and is currently represented by RUSH STYLE.
Seiyuu
When he was in his second year of high school, he was seriously thinking about what he was going to do when he graduated. That’s until he saw Koichi Yamadera on an impersonation program.
That changed the course of his life as, from that point on, Nozuyama was determined to become a master impersonator and thus he started to become a voice actor.
With that objective in mind, he started watching anime for his research and ended up being deeply influenced by Yuki Kaji’s performance in Attack on Titan.
In 2017, Nozuyama graduated from Osaka Amusement Media College, soon after joining RUSH STYLE as a first-year student of RS Academy (RUSH STYLE’s internal seiyuu academy).
Still in the same year, he would end up auditioning for the – now – massively popular 2D music project Hypnosis Mic, getting his role as Fling Posse’s member, Dice Arisugawa.
Getting that role was the catalyst for his career to take off. And the most impressive about this is that the first big role he got – Dice – was in his debut year.
2017 –
Making a name for himself
Yukihiro Nozuyama made his debut as a voice actor in 2017 with a minor role in the anime series, My First Girlfriend is a Gal.
In 2018, he was cast as minor characters in several anime series such as Fate/EXTRA Last Encore, Devil’s Line, Caligula, and SSSS.GRIDMAN.
As Nozuyama was building up his repertoire, 2019 proved yet again to be filled with minor roles for him.
He voiced characters in Re:Stage! Dream Days♪ (in which he got to be a random rapper, however, he was already showcasing his rapping skills in this series), Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? and Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy.
2020 would end up being a turn in his career. All of a sudden, Nozuyama wasn’t in the background in a series, he was actually part of the leading cast and getting quite the spotlight on himself.
Undoubtedly the biggest role in his career so far is his reprisal of Dice Arisugawa in the anime adaptation of the Hypnosis Mic franchise, Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle – Rhyme Anima.
Nozuyama brought the character to life with his quirks and passion for gambling everything in his life in a way that, if Dice was not on your favorite characters’ list, it soon entered it. Not only was his voice acting in full display but also his rapping – being one of the best rappers in this project – and singing (as Fling Posse’s songs do have a good amount of melody to tackle).
While it didn’t massively impact his career – the following years were quite quiet despite all the fanfare behind Hypnosis Mic -, Dice opened the doors for more people to find out about him and his voice acting and rapping skills.
While not a main character, in 2021, Nozuyama was cast as Ryohei Hayashi, one of the characters in the popular anime series, Tokyo Revengers.
This role showed a different side to his voice acting skills and versatility as Ryohei is a short-tempered and aggressive person that is more menacing than intelligent.
This balance of aggression and lack of smarts plus the short temper made people pay attention to the character and thus, look for who was the owner of such voice.
In 2022, Nozuyama would get his first main role in anime. He was cast as the influential ace Takuma Nagitsuji in the ONA series, Gundam Breaker: Battlogue.
The series didn’t necessarily resonate that much with long-time fans of the Gundam franchise yet, it was a fantastic opportunity for Nozuyama to showcase his voice acting skills in a style of anime that he had never done before and for a fanbase as big as Gundam’s.
Other anime series in which he voiced characters include:
- Jashin-chan Dropkick (2018)
- Lord of Vermilion: The Crimson King (2018)
- Goblin Slayer (2018)
- Voice of Fox (2018)
- Cop Craft (2019)
- Africa no Salaryman (2019)
- Ojarumaru (2019)
- Haikyuu!! To the Top (2020)
- Shuumatsu no Walküre (2021)
- Kyuuketsuki Sugu Shinu (2021)
- Tribe Nine (2022)
- Ryman’s Club (2022)
- Paripi Koumei (2022)
Awards
In 2019, at the 13th Seiyuu Awards, Yukihiro Nozuyama and the main cast of Hypnosis Mic – members of Buster Bros!!!, MAD TRIGGER CREW, Fling Posse and Matenro – received the Singing Award.
Yukihiro Nozuyama attended the ceremony alongside Show Hayami, Subaru Kimura, Kouhei Amasaki, Ryuichi Kijima, and Haruki Ishiya.
Acting
Live acting is an area in which Yukihiro Nozuyama has little experience. Still, he has a project well worth talking about.
S.S.D.S. 〜Super Stylish Doctors Story〜 (2017 -)
Since his debut and under the guidance of Show Hayami, fellow seiyuu as well as his boss at Rush Style, Nozuyama has been participating in some events of S.S.D.S. 〜Super Stylish Doctors Story〜.
For those that do not know it, S.S.D.S. 〜Super Stylish Doctors Story〜 started out as a science fiction comedy set in a hospital and based on an original script by Show Hayami.
Hayami enlisted not only long-time friends in the seiyuu industry to act alongside him – Horiuchi Kenyuu, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Ryotaro Okiayu, Toshihiko Seki but also brought along seiyuu that he felt deserved the spotlight as well as rookies.
The premise of the story is the following: the story takes place in the world’s finest medical facility, The JOY Zaburo Memorial: St. Laforet Hospital.
This is a place where the most stylish of all stylish doctors – men and women – coming from all around the world provide the best medical care to their patients through “love” and “joy”.
And thus, “S.S.D.S. ~ Super Stylish Doctors Story ~” ends up fulfilling the fantasies of the audience while giving a platform for both veterans and youngsters to showcase their skills.
Radio
Since early on in his career, Yukihiro Nozuyama has been hosting solo radio shows.
This is something unusual as most seiyuu tend to take a couple of years of co-hosting shows before getting their big break of having their own radio show (something that is also justified by the fact that, a bit later in their career, they have a lot of fans to tune for the radio show instead of early on in their career when barely anyone knows them).
As a host, Nozuyama is incredibly professional – yet not ridiculously serious -, showing quite a lot of maturity behind the mic. He knows how to lead a conversation and listen to guests and he can hold his own solo.
Some of the radio shows he’s hosted include:
Yukihiro Nozuyama’s Private Nozuyama Gakuen (2018)
Nozuyama’s first radio show was “Yukihiro Nozuyama’s Private Nozuyama Gakuen” (野津山幸宏の私立野津山学園). In this radio show, rookie Nozuyama revised his school days.
The radio show featured several corners inspired by school classes: Kanji test, English vocabulary test, Physical fitness, and an advice corner. The radio show kicked off in 2018 and wrapped up in the same year.
Yukihiro Nozuyama Roots Journey! (2019)
A year later, Nozuyama was back with a solo radio show.
“Yukihiro Nozuyama Roots Journey!” (野津山幸宏 ルーツの旅!), the show kicked off in 2019 and wrapped up in the same year, covering all about Nozuyama’s roots.
Yukihiro Nozuyama and Shota Hayama Noplan Night! (2020 -)
In 2020, Nozuyama teamed up with fellow seiyuu – and also a member of the cast of Hypnosis Mic – Shota Hayama to co-host the radio show “Yukihiro Nozuyama and Shota Hayama Noplan Night!“.
The radio show focuses on not having a plan at all. The contents are mostly freestyle and the conversations flow without following a script, something that makes the show sound more relaxed and genuine than most radio shows hosted by seiyuu.
This radio show is still ongoing, being followed by a lot of fans of both seiyuu as well as those that have just started to get into Hypnosis Mic (and want to hear more of Dice and Kuko’s voices).
Other radio shows he has hosted/guested include:
- Monthly New Men’s Communication November issue ~ Monthly Yukihiro Nozuyama (2019)
- Hypnosis Mic-Division Rap Battle- HPNM Hangout! After Talk Podcast (2020)
- Tokui Aozora no Anigetchu (2020 – 2021)
Games
Since his debut, Nozuyama has been active as a voice actor for video games.
His first role was in 2017 in the otome game Usotsuki Shangri-la. After that, he lent his talents to otome, RPG, action, rhythm, and strategy games.
He’s lent voice to characters such as:
Shidou Izuru in Cardfight!! Vanguard Ex (2019)
His first big role in games was as Shidou Izuru in the card/action game, Cardfight!! Vanguard Ex.
Izuru is the protagonist and player character in this game.
Dice Arisugawa in Hypnosis Mic – Alternative Rap Battle – (2020 -)
Nozuyama reprised his role as Fling Posse‘s Dice Arisugawa in the smartphone game, Hypnosis Mic – Alternative Rap Battle –.
Dice is a gambler through and through. He’s constantly believing and being played by Gentaro Yumeno – who finds him quite interesting as an individual. He’s also really passionate and dedicated to those he loves and will never back down from a fight.
The game features a short introductory story for each crew, highlighting how Fling Posse came to be as well as their internal dynamics, which are drastically different from all other crews.
He also voiced characters in the following games (list is not exhaustive):
- God of Dice (2017)
- Monster Strike (2018-2021)
- Namuamida Butsu! – Rendai UTENA (2018)
- Princess Connect! Re:Dive (2020)
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered (2020)
- Graffiti Smash (2020)
- Crash Fever (2021)
- SHOW BY ROCK!! Fes A Live (2021)
- The dream craftsman and the forgotten black fairy (2022)
Narration / Dubbing
Contrary to most seiyuu with only a couple of years in the voice acting industry, Yukihiro Nozuyama already has a couple of narration credits dubbing foreign TV series/movies such as:
- GI Joe: Jet Black Snake Eyes,
- Spider-Man: No Way Home,
- Find Me in Paris,
- Snake Eyes,
- Forbidden Games,
- Queen & Slim,
- Free Guy,
- Royal Treatment,
- AJ & Queen,
- Superman & Lois,
- A Madea Homecoming,
between many more.
He’s also done narration for several TV commercials about Hypnosis Mic as well as lent his talents for several Japanese TV shows and brands that were looking for his narration skills.
Drama CDs
When it comes to drama CDs, Nozuyama has few credits under his belt – so far.
He is best known for voicing Dice Arisugawa in the Hypnosis Mic drama CDs or drama tracks (in the music CDs) and so far has shown that he can make his characters believable and quite quirky with ease.
Some of his credits in drama CDs include:
- Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle series
- Live us vol.1~vol.6
- Kaname and Haruki/Journey to U
Music
Despite not being active as a seiyuu for long, Yukihiro Nozuyama has managed to score himself a role in one of the most popular 2D music projects currently active in Japan: Hypnosis Mic.
And it is with that group – and within that project – that he has been showcasing his talents as a rapper as well as a singer. He is overflowing with energy, his rap is intense, his flow is unreal at times to the point that off-beat rapping flows to him naturally, and the raspy twist to his voice tone adds some authority to his performances.
He’s best known for being part of the following 2D music groups:
Fling Posse (2017 -)
In 2017, Yukihiro Nozuyama was one of the big names announced for the ambitious seiyuu x rap project, Hypnosis Mic. Nozuyama is part of the bubbly yet extremely dark and emo crew, Fling Posse, representing Shibuya.
Although it took some time for the crew to garner popularity, the truth is that today, Fling Posse is a beloved crew in this franchise.
In 2017, with Fling Posse, we got to see more of his talents as a rapper. He performed 3$EVEN, song that had a unique intensity to itself.
The song embraced a brass-driven sound with several sound effects related to the theme at hand. We found some minor issues with the instrumental, however, those don’t make the song unlistenable.
Between that early drop that introduced us to a heavy bass-driven instrumental to Nozuyama‘s skillful and raw rap skills, we were impressed. Nozuyama claims that he’s good at freestyling and the truth is, those skills came in handy for his performance. His flow grabbed our attention for the duration of the song.
After the release of the introductory singles for each crew, Hypnosis Mic kicked off their 1st Battle Season series.
Fling Posse faced Matenro in the second round in Fling Posse VS Matenro.
This was a losing battle for Fling Posse as Matenro had already established themselves as the most popular crew in the franchise.
BATTLE BATTLE BATTLE was a clear win for Fling Posse but when it came to the group’s representative songs, Fling Posse came up short with a fancy pop-rap tune in Shibuya Marble Texture -PCCS-.
Fling Posse lost the battle to Matenro and only returned with new music in 2019.
In 2019, the crew released the heart-wrenching Stella, featured in the compilation album, Enter the Hypnosis Microphone.
Stella hit everyone in their feelings, showcasing a broken, battered crew with inner struggles that they want to overcome but still haunt them.
The buzz around Fling Posse started and all eyes were excited about how dark and emotional future releases of theirs would get.
Fling Posse returned in 2020 with Fling Posse Before The 2nd D.R.B. The theme of friendship seemed to linger in this release. Each member explored some of their issues in haunting tracks that made this release, Fling Posse‘s best to date.
Yukihiro Nozuyama performed as Dice in the mind-breaking song, SCRAMBLE GAMBLE.
He went with a complete rap performance, mixing Dice’s trademark straightforward rap with a more passionate approach, now that he is tackling friendship and pride for his crew.
This is an impressive performance because, if you pay closer attention to the tempo, Nozuyama is rapping the whole song off beat. This is extremely tricky, requiring Nozuyama a perfect sense of tempo and rhythm (as well as concentration) in order to not miss his cue.
Extremely technical, this is a performance that will show you just how talented Nozuyama is.
It was no easy task and, while I initially wondered if he would be able to pull it off in a live setting – it is a difficult song to perform – he aced it on Hypnosis mic- Division Rap Battle – 5th LIVE @ AbemaTV – SIX SHOTS UNTIL THE DOME.
In a live setting, Fling Posse is consistent and surprisingly powerful instead of energetic like their earlier tracks would hint at. The only issue with this crew is how Saito was absent from some of the lives in which the crew performed.
Since the start, Yukihiro Nozuyama has impressed everyone with his flow and intensity. He often raps off tempo, which is insanely tricky, creating awesome dynamics in Dice’s solo tracks as well as for crew songs.
You can expect him to have the same energy and quality in a live setting, working in perfect sync with his Fling Posse teammates.
So far the crew has performed live 5 times, although in different contexts.
The first franchise release on Blu-ray and DVD is Hypnosis mic- Division Rap Battle – 4th LIVE @ Osaka, massive live show held in 2019 that counted with Buster Bros!!!, MAD TRIGGER CREW, Fling Posse, Matenro, and the, then recently announced, Dotsuitare Honpo and Bad Ass Temple.
In 2020, and due to issues with Coronavirus (COVID-19), Hypnosis Mic’s ambitious MetLife Dome live, SIX SHOTS TO THE DOME was cancelled.
Instead, all crews performed on 29/03/2020 on a special broadcast by AbemaTV, Hypnosis mic- Division Rap Battle – 5th LIVE @ AbemaTV – SIX SHOTS UNTIL THE DOME that counted with millions of live views.
In April 2020, a new issue of the popular manga Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- side F.P & M vol.3 includes a new song, a duet with Dice Arisugawa (CV: Yukihiro Nozuyama) titled Once Upon a Time in Shibuya.
In February 2021, the Hypnosis Mic held its 6th live “2nd D.R.B”, with the 3rd battle counting with Fling Posse vs MAD TRIGGER CREW.
Fling Posse emerged victorious with “Black Journey” after a hard-fought battle with MAD TRIGGER CREW.
The time had finally arrived, Fling Posse was going to challenge Matenro and Buster Bros!!! for the title of Champion.
The final battle in the 2nd Division Rap Battle series pitied Matenro against Buster Bros!!! and Fling Posse in “Buster Bros!!! VS Matenro VS Fling Posse”.
“SHOWDOWN” ended up being more than just a battle, it was all about each crew stating their intentions, telling their story, and showing their worth for the title of “Champion”.
Later in August 2021, the crew performed live at Hypnosis Mic 7th live “SUMMIT OF DIVISIONS”.
The final results were announced on November 28, 2021. All members of Buster Bros!!!, MAD TRIGGER CREW, Matenro, Fling Posse, Dotsuitare Hompo, and Bad Ass Temple were in attendance at the special broadcast on AbemaTV.
Surprising everyone, during the final battle, Fling Posse led the way without once dropping from their spot (winning the VR battle as well).
Fling Posse (130346 votes) won the Final Battle in the 2nd Division Rap Battle series after beating Matenro (101981 votes) and Buster Bros!!! (115227 votes) in a 3-way battle that included live show votes + CD votes + VR battle.
The crew released “Kizuato ga Kizuna to naru” in 2022 to celebrate being crowned champions. The groovy, 90s-inspired title track was composed and written by legendary hip-hop artist and producer, KREVA.
Kicking off 2022, Fling Posse participated in Hypnosis Mic’s 2nd full-length album “CROSS A LINE“.
In 2023, the Hypnosis Mic franchise held a large-scale live show featuring all crews titled Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- 9th LIVE ≪ZERO OUT≫.
Division All Stars (2017 -)
Hypnosis Mic made sure to create an all-star team and impress everyone with it. It was through this group that Nozuyama‘s fans got a first listen to his rap skills.
Division All Stars‘ original lineup consisted of Buster Bros!!!, MAD TRIGGER CREW, Fling Posse and Matenro. In 2019, with the addition of Dotsuitare Honpo and Bad Ass Temple to the franchise, the group now houses all groups.
Their first release was Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- in 2017. This was the explosive start even before anyone knew how each crew would end up sounding.
The song was an instant hit and brought a massive following from overseas to the project.
In 2018, Division All Stars returned with the electrifying Hypnosis Mic Division Battle Anthem. The success it met was even more than on their debut song.
Now that the project was popular, it was a matter of a couple of days until it hit 1 million views.
In 2019, Hypnosis Mic released its first compilation album. Enter the Hypnosis Microphone featured all of Division All Stars‘ songs plus a new ensemble track, Hoodstar.
The release also included new songs for each group including the legendary The Dirty Dawg.
The song was quickly followed by Hypnosis Mic – Alternative Rap Battle-, song featured as the theme song for the smartphone game, Hypnosis Mic -Alternative Rap Battle-.
Still in the same year, Division All Stars returned with a new take on their debut song, Hypnosis Mic Division Battle Anthem.
After the franchise introduced 2 new units to the franchise, Dotsuitare Honpo, and Bad Ass Temple, the classic track got a revamp, thus Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-+ was released.
In 2020, Division All Stars made their comeback and once again revamped one of their hit songs. Hypnosis Mic -Division Battle Anthem- was revamped, adding Dotsuitare Honpo and Bad Ass Temple into the mix, creating Hypnosis Mic -Division Battle Anthem-+.
And in 2020, Division All Stars released the fan favorite, and up until July of the same year, in-game exclusive, Survival of the Illest.
Still in the same year, Division All Stars released the funky tune “SUMMIT OF DIVISIONS“. The song was included with the franchise’s Hypnosis Mic – Division Rap Battle – Official Guide Book.
A year later “Hypnosis Mic-Glory or Dust-“ was released.
The song featured a 3D CGI animated music video – the first one in the Hypnosis Mic -, going in line with the franchise’s recent bet in VR and CGI technology to improve the visibility of its contents.
A couple of months later and still in 2021, Division All Stars released an extended version of the groovy hit tune “Survival of the Illest“.
The reworked song was titled “Survival of the Illest+” and included Dotsuitare Hompo and Bad Ass Temple in the recording.
In 2021, Division All Stars released the funky hip-hop tune with a ’90s touch “Hang out!“.
Still in the same year, the group released a new – extended – version of “Hoodstar”. Now including the rapping by Bad Ass Temple and Dotsuitare Hompo, “Hoodstar+” was released.
In 2022, the Hypnosis Mic franchise released its 2nd full-length album “CROSS A LINE“.
In this album, which included new songs by all crews, there is the groovy self-titled all-star song.
StrelitziA (2022 -)
In 2022, Nozuyama joined the cast of the Live Us franchise, original project mixed-media project following a dramatic story that is fleshed out through voice dramas + music releases.
He joined the lineup for StrelitziA, group with a K-pop-inspired sound. Alongside him, on vocals, are Shun Horie and Yohei Azakami.
The trio released its debut single “Do the thing” in 2022.
Photobooks
In collaboration with the pop culture magazine, Febri, in 2019, Nozuyama released his 1st photobook, Metcha Nozuyanen (めっちゃのづやねん。).
The photobook is going to include photos taken in Osaka, Nozuyama’s hometown. It will also include a long interview about his life and testimonies from fellow seiyuu.
Variety
Although still with very few participations on variety shows, Yukihiro Nozuyama has some credits under his belt.
For those watching a show hosted by him, you’ll quickly notice that he is always smiling and is nice to everyone around him. In a way, both the staff working with him and his guests end up doting on him due to his friendly, younger brother-like demeanor.
He’s quirky when needed yet, at the same time, he can be rather crafty and smart, adapting himself really well to the different types of guests.
As a guest himself, Nozuyama is really shy and extremely polite, seldom wreaking havoc. You can expect him to be quite collaborative once the hosts make him talk.
Some of his participations in variety shows include:
Nozunama! (2018 – 2022)
In 2018, Nozuyama was given the chance of hosting his own talk show “Nozunama!” (野津山幸宏の野津山は、の「ず」やまじゃないよ。の「づ」やまだよ。のづやまゆきひろのNOZU生!).
In this show, he talked about the things he loves and invited fellow seiyuu – friends of his – to hang out and talk about a wide variety of topics as well as to challenge themselves by reading lines that the fans requested.
The show ended in 2022.
Hayami Show & Nozuyama Yukihiro no Kyo, nani yomu? (2020 -)
In 2020, Yukihiro Nozuyama teamed up with Show Hayami – his boss at RUSH STYLE – to host 速水奨&野津山幸宏の今日、何読む?(Hayami Show & Nozuyama Yukihiro no Kyo, nani yomu?).
The show airs on RakutenTV since July 2020.
This is a variety show that expands upon the simple idea of “live reading” by having the seiyuu even reading instructions manuals or the back of a pack of tissues and featuring a corner in which the seiyuu will dress up accordingly to a brief reading section.
Some of the seiyuu that guested on the show include Ryuichi Kijima, Yuki Sakakihara, Soma Saito, Takuya Sato, Kent Ito, Yoshiki Nakajima, Taichi Ichikawa, and more.
Ryuichi Kijima no Buta yarou (2020)
In 2020, Nozuyama was invited to Ryuichi Kijima’s “Ryuichi Kijima no Buta Yarou” (木島隆一のこのブタ野郎), talk show that is pig-themed, celebrating everything Kijima loves about pigs.
In this episode, the duo hang out, had a laidback talk about their passions and work, ate a pork dish, and challenged themselves to read cheesy lines to the dummyhead mic.
Hypnosis Mic -Division Variety Battle @ ABEMA (2020)
In 2020, Nozuyama participated in Hypnosis Mic -Division Variety Battle @ ABEMA (ヒプノシスマイク ~Division Variety Battle@ABEMA~) alongside fellow Fling Posse members Yusuke Shirai and Soma Saito.
The variety show included impromptu rap battles (against Dotsuitare Hompo’s members), information corner – on the latest Hypnosis Mic news -, and a Super Difficult Love Trial! Division Pressure Q, a variety challenge in which both crews in attendance on a given episode had to face each other in a difficult quiz.
Hypnosis Mic Division Study Guide (2021)
In 2021, Nozuyama participated alongside Fling Posse’s Yusuke Shirai and Soma Saito in the AbemaTV exclusive show Hypnosis Mic Division Study Guide.
The show is all about making it simple for newcomers to get into Hypnosis Mic by explaining a bit about each character’s background and intentions, the group’s dynamics as well as talking about the music (with some games in the mix).
Facts
Being mentored by the legend, Show Hayami
As a voice actor represented by RUSH STYLE, Yukihiro Nozuyama is in a privileged position when it comes to learning from one of the best voice actors in the industry.
Show Hayami is his boss but also a mentor and a friend, having helped him even before making his debut as a voice actor.
Hayami is actively mentoring Nozuyama, easing his transition to voice acting as a profession, and helping him out getting visibility by co-hosting variety shows with him.
Nozuyama has mentioned in both radio and TV/events that he is indebted to Hayami’s guidance. They’ve teamed up to create a Manzai duo – a style of Japanese comedy – after Hayami found that Nozuyama wanted to create one but no one wanted to do it with him.
Really close friends with the members of Fling Posse
Most seiyuu work together in 2D groups but their relationships beyond that of co-workers are just that: coworkers.
Yukihiro Nozuyama however can say that he is actually close friends with the members of Fling Posse – Yusuke Shirai and Soma Saito -, often hanging out with them and participating in crazy shenanigans on Shirai’s YouTube channel.
The three have grown so tight that they’ve ended up emulating the close bonds that their characters have.
It all started with admiration now it’s a friendship
Nozuyama mentioned in an interview that, within the Hypnosis Mic franchise, he quickly made friends with Soma Saito. Seeing his work, Nozuyama couldn’t help but admire Saito.
The two had already crossed paths previously to joining the Hypnosis Mic franchise in 2017 however, it was only around that time that both started to grow close.
In 2018, Nozuyama went to his Twitter account to say that he was proud that he was the first one to congratulate Saito in person on his birthday.
Their wholesome friendship has even led to Saito guesting on Nozuyama’s “Nozunama” talk show to celebrate his birthday and everything.
Designed clothes for a Japanese brand
In 2019, in collaboration with LIVERTINE AGE, Japanese apparel company that actively collaborates with seiyuu and stage actors to promote their products.
Nozuyama designed t-shirts and a hoodie for the brand.
With this, THTFHQ wraps up another Seiyuu Digest. In the meantime, don’t forget to check past Seiyuu Digests (some of those recently updated) – HERE.
