Junya Enoki

KANJI: 榎木 淳弥

BORN: October 19, 1988

OCCUPATION: voice actor, actor

HEIGHT: 168 cm

Junya Enoki was born on October 19, 1988, in Japan and is currently represented by Atomic Monkey.

Seiyuu

Enoki’s journey to becoming a voice actor is quite interesting as his curiosity and passion for this field of work only started when he was attending college.

He happened to watch the popular anime series Gurren Lagan and, from that point on he was determined into joining the voice acting industry and be an active voice actor.

2010 – 2014

The tough start and first leading role

Junya Enoki made his debut in the seiyuu industry in 2010 however, as you can expect, as a rookie, work didn’t come his way that easily and the first two years in the industry were without any roles in anime.

2012 however was the turning point for him. In that year he got minor roles in Ixion Saga DT, La storia della Arcana Famiglia, and Sword Art Online.

Although those roles seriously lacked exposure and were far from being a good display of Enoki’s skills, it was a start. It was signaling that the gears were moving in his career and he was actually slowly treading his way through.

2013 proved to be a weak year for Enoki, with only 2 minor roles in Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist.

Shion Kiba
Shion Kiba

Things changed in 2014 when Enoki was cast as the polite, calm, and collected Shion Kiba in the popular action anime Cardfight!! Vanguard G.

This was quite an interesting role as the character had more depth than expected. Kiba is a hard worker, prideful – can’t stand losing -, however, while he may appear to be selfless, he’s not. And that’s because his apparent personality is all but a façade.

As far as first leading roles go, Kiba was a fantastic role to showcase Enoki’s skills.

He ended up reprising this role in 5 seasons: Cardfight!! Vanguard G: GIRS Crisis (2015), Cardfight!! Vanguard G: NEXT (2016), Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Stride Gate (2016), Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Z (2017) and Cardfight!! Vanguard Gaiden if (2020).

Other anime series in which he voiced characters include:

  • Golden Time (2014)
  • Haikyu!! (2014)
  • Noragami (2014)
  • Parasyte (2014)
  • Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (2014)

2015 – 2018

Making a name for himself

Shotaro Tatewaki
Shotaro Tatewaki

2015 welcomed another leading role for Enoki. He was cast as the kind and calm Shotaro Tatewaki in the drama anime series Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru.

2016 was a big year for Enoki, a year that was the start of what is – now – a character filled with leading roles in popular anime series.

Horikawa Kunihiro Touken Ranbu Hanamaru
Horikawa Kunihiro in Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru

In that year, he reprised his role as the passionate Horikawa Kunihiro in the slice-of-life anime adaptation of the popular Touken Ranbu game, Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru.

In this adaptation, Kunihiro showcases his passion for household chores as well as taking care of others, being almost like a mother figure for all other swords.

Nova
ΑΩ Nova

He was then cast as the quiet, calm, and collected ΑΩ Nova, the protagonist of the short anime adventure/comedy series Uchuu Patrol Luluco.

Shu Kurenai
Shu Kurenai

Still in the same year, he was cast as Shu Kurenai, one of the characters in the main cast of the action anime series Beyblade Burst.

Kurenai is a hard worker, not taking anything for granted yet, at the same time, is dubbed as a genius.

Despite the calm and collected, almost cold demeanor, he’s quite passionate about his battles and the will to win.

Rui Maita IDOLMASTER SideM anime
Rui Maita

In 2017, Enoki saw a rise in the number of roles he was cast in.

He reprised his role as S.E.M’s Rui Maita in the anime adaptation of IDOLMASTER SideM.

Although the anime series focuses primarily on DRAMATIC STARS, S.E.M also got to share their story, bonds, and passion that took them to become idols.

Horikawa Kunihiro
Horikawa Kunihiro

He then reprised his role as Horikawa Kunihiro in the action-packed adaptation of Tokuen Ranbu, Katsugeki Touken Ranbu.

Although this series adaptation focused on a restricted number of swords making up its main cast, it was Kunihiro that took the lead.

Jona Basta
Jona Basta

A buzzworthy role in 2017 was Jona Basta, an ensign in the Earth Federation Space Force in the mecha anime Mobile Suit Gundam NT.

Seiji Tsukumogami Kashimasu
Seiji

A year later, in 2018, Junya Enoki was cast as Seiji in the slice-of-life anime series Tsukumogami Kashimasu.

Tarou Jou
Tarou Jou

He was then cast as Tarou Jou, older twin brother of Jirou Jou, in the sports anime Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru.

Pannacotta Fugo
Pannacotta Fugo

One of the biggest roles in 2018 was that of Pannacotta Fugo in the popular anime series JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze.

This character has an interesting duality. On the outside and if not angered, Fugo is caring and quite serious.

However, if angered, he does a 180 and is incredibly violent. This alone proved to be an interesting challenge for Enoki to tackle to which he not only managed to do so but also impressed a lot of people with his emotional range and intensity.

Still in 2018, Enoki reprised his role as Rui Maita in The iDOLM@STER SideM: Wake Atte Mini!.

Other anime series in which he voiced characters include:

  • Rin-ne (2015)
  • Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend (2015)

  • Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan (2018)

2019 –

A name to look forward to in anime

Takezou Kurata
Takezou Kurata

After a streak of solid leading and supporting roles, Junya Enoki was slowly starting to become a name that anime fans were looking forward to finding in the cast of their favorite series.

He was cast as the president of the Tokise High School Koto Club Takezou Kurata in the drama/romance anime Kono Oto Tomare!.

Kurata is really shy and a hard worker however he doesn’t have a lot of self-confidence, often doubting his leading skills as the president of the Koto club.

Rei Tsukumo
Rei Tsukumo

Although not a leading role, he was cast as the calm and mature Rei Tsukumo in the comedy anime Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy.

Shingo Ichinomiya
Shingo Ichinomiya

2020 kicked off with a leading role as Shingo Ichinomiya in the isekai anime series Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou!.

The anime wasn’t that well received by international fans and the reception by Japanese fans wasn’t that enthusiastic either and that’s because the series hit all the boxes of a generic isekai series, containing nothing unique in it.

Lucia Yonazuki
Lucia Yonazuki

He was cast as Lucia Yonazuki in the fantasy anime series Shadowverse.

Much in line with the style of character Enoki tends to voice, Yonazuki is a quiet and calm character on the outside but if angered, he’s incredibly aggressive, ruthless, and even downright cold.

Nasa Yuzaki
Nasa Yuzaki

Although rare in his repertoire, Enoki was cast in a romantic comedy. He voiced Nasa Yuzaki in Tonikaku Kawaii.

Yuji Itadori
Yuji Itadori

The biggest role of the year and easily the most popular role in Enoki’s career is that of Yuji Itadori in the action anime series Jujutsu Kaisen.

Contrary to most of the characters Enoki has voiced prior to this one, Itadori is outgoing, a bit of a dork, and energetic. Those traits alone lead to plenty of comedic moments within the series.

This is a role that attracted a lot of attention to Junya Enoki, setting him on a path of success.

As a result, 2021 kicked off with plenty of leading roles.

Shimoda
Shimoda

He was cast as Shimoda, a rookie angel assigned by God to oversee the design team, serving as the bridge between it and God in the comedy anime series Tenchi Souzou Design-bu.

Yuni Kuroba
Yuni Kuroba

Although not the leading character, Kuroba is part of the main cast in the series, being an important part of the team.

Kagami Sakishima

Yuito Sumeragi

The anime series was not that well-received due to the lack of character development.

Naoya Mukai
Naoya Mukai

Enoki was back to voicing a character in a romantic comedy with his role as Naoya Mukai in the anime series Kanojo mo Kanojo.

Shuuta Aoi

Still in 2022, Enoki is set to voice Mikoto Shiratori in Ryman’s Club, Silve in Technoroid Overmind, Yuma Motoki in Ao Ashi, Nagisa Shiranami in Heroine Tarumono!: Kiraware Heroine to Naisho no Oshigoto,

Radio

When it comes to radio work, fans can expect Junya Enoki to be extremely professional and calm.

His radio hosting style is almost suited for a late-night show as his rich, warm mid-toned voice quietly introduces the listener to interesting themes.

When he guests on shows, he tends to be on the quiet side, listening to what everyone has to say and then, politely giving his opinion or sharing his stories with the hosts.

Over the years, Enoki has managed to host several radio shows, sharing duties with other voice actors however radio work is far from being his focus, with credits in this field being substantially less than his in dubbing or even games.

Some of the radio shows that have marked his career so far include:

Koero! Vanguard G (2015)

Junya Enoki Koero Vanguard G 2015
Mark Ishii and Junya Enoki @ Koero! Vanguard G (2015)

Enoki’s first-ever credits in radio arrived in 2015 as he, alongside fellow co-star Mark Ishii, hosted the radio show Koero! Vanguard G.

The radio show wrapped up within a year, leading the way to Radio Vanguard G nozome! Tsukame! Trisley!!! (2015 – 2016), show that counted with the same co-hosts plus a new addition, Emi Nitta.

MAN TWO MONTH RADIO Enoki Junya no Enoki desuga kinoko wa nigate desu

In 2016, Enoki was invited to be the host of MAN TWO MONTH RADIO, show in which seiyuu can handle their own radio show for two months before switching with the next seiyuu.

Junya Enoki was a personality from April 2016 to May 2016.

In MAN TWO MONTH RADIO 榎木淳弥の『えのきですがきのこは苦手です。』(MAN TWO MONTH RADIO Enoki Junya no “Enoki desuga kinoko wa nigate desu), fans got to listen to a lot of personal stories as well as plenty of talk about the food he loves (not mushrooms though as the title of the radio the show implies).

Alongside S.E.M’s members Kent Ito and Yoshiki Nakajima, Enoki co-hosted the radio show IDOLMASTER SideM Radio 315Night! in 2017.

As per usual with this radio show, it was entertaining and filled with a great, warm vibe, fun corners, and a lot of crazy shenanigans.

Enoki Junya・ Horie Shun Enoholic (2018 – 2021)

In 2018, Enoki teamed up with fellow seiyuu Shun Horie to co-host the radio show “Enoki Junya・ Horie Shun Enoholic“.

Up until this date, this is the longest radio show he’s co-hosted, counting with a total of 156 episodes.

Jujutsu Kaisen Jujutoku (2021 -)

Junya Enoki Jujutsu Kaisen Jujutoku

Since 2021, Junya Enoki is the host of the online radio show Jujutsu Kaisen Jujutoku. The show stems from the popular anime series Jujutsu Kaisen (in which Enoki voices the protagonist).

Games

When it comes to games, Enoki has been active almost since the very start of his career as a voice actor.

You can find him more frequently cast in otome games but he also has some credits in action, RPG, and mecha games.

Looking at his repertoire, it’ll be easy to notice that Enoki is typecasted, especially in otome games, with almost all his characters being quiet, calm and collected, shy, or a mix and match of any of the three traits.

Enoki’s journey as a voice actor in games began in 2011 with a role in the popular otome game Starry ☆ Sky ~ After Autumn ~.

He would go on to voice the protagonist in the incredibly popular Shin Megami Tensei games (remake and V), however, there is much more in his repertoire.

Some of the characters he is best known for voicing include:

Li Chaoyang in I-Chu (2015 – 2019) & I★CHU: Étoile Stage (2020 – 2021)

Li Chaoyang I chu game
Li Chaoyang

In 2015, Junya Enoki joined the cast of the idol grooming/rhythm game I-chu. He voices Li Chaoyang, member of the idol unit I♥B.

Chaoyang is a quiet and shy person that is not that comfortable socializing, however, throughout the game’s story and due to the positive influence of others around him, tries bit by bit to get more comfortable.

In a way, this character is almost as if tailormade for Enoki as Chaoyang’s struggles are not that far off from Enoki’s when he was younger (See the facts section in this article for more details).

Horikawa Kunihiro in Tokuen Ranbu Online/Pocket (2015 -)

Horikawa Kunihiro Touken Ranbu game

Quite possibly one of the most popular roles in games for Enoki is Horikawa Kunihiro in the massively popular game Touken Ranbu.

The game went on to be extremely popular spawning 2 different anime adaptations: Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru (slice-of-life adaptation) and Touken Ranbu: Katsugeki (action-packed anime adaptation).

Rui Maita in THE IDOLM@STER SideM (2015 -) and SideM LIVE ON ST@GE! (2017 -)

Rui Maita

In 2015, Junya Enoki joined the cast of the popular idol franchise, THE IDOLM@STER SideM.

The game, of the same name, was released in 2017 and mixed elements of music, story (incredibly toned down), and idol nurturing/farming.

He voices Rui Maita, S.E.M’s charismatic member, and former English teacher responsible for the “E” in “S.E.M”.

As a former English teacher, Maita hopes to attract worldwide attention and aims at becoming an international idol. Despite his love for teaching the English language, Maita found himself with an interest in idols, ending up deciding that that sort of life was ideal for him, having the big dreams of getting worldwide attention and becoming an international idol.

The enthusiasm is what drives him and motivates the other members of the group that want to support him as well as give their best as idols.

He also voiced characters in the following games (list is not exhaustive):

  • Ozmafia!! (2013)
  • Hakuoki SSL: Sweet School Life (2014)
  • Granblue Fantasy (2015)
  • Walpurgis no Uta (2015)

Acting

While primarily a voice actor specialized in narration, Junya Enoki still tries to do more related to acting, this time around taking him from the studio to a stage or a set.

He’s pretty much been active as an actor since 2010, having credits both in reading plays as well as live-action movies and TV dramas.

Fans can expect him to be quick-witted, have natural reactions + delivery as well as pay a lot of attention to his environment and cues from other actors – especially noticeable with his participation in AD-LIVE 2021 -, something that leads to him, among all seiyuu that have taken the jump from voice acting to (live/stage) acting, to be among those that seem the most comfortable.

Reading plays

Aside from his work as a voice actor, Junya Enoki is also quite active in reading plays.

Since joining Atomic Monkey, he has made sure to participate in reading plays, even live-action movies with quite some frequency and, as of late, he has been taking his first – small – steps in acting on TV.

Some of the reading plays he’s participated in include Lunatic Syndrome, NIGHTDREAMER, LOST!?, COLORS ~ Battle Elegy Victor Ranger ~, between many more.

One of Junya’s first-ever appearances in a live-action movie was in 2011 for “Kami Voice: The Voice Makes a Miracle” as one of the students in the Akihabara Voice Acting Academy.

The movie is an adaptation of a famous manga written by Yoshiki Sakurai and Team G.V. and illustrated by Kuroko Yabuguchi. The live-action premiered on November 19, 2011.

The movie is deeply connected with the seiyuu life and shows the hardships one has to face to enter and strive in that field of work, especially when something goes awry that can put that career in jeopardy.

The cast counted with Wataru Hatano and Yuki Kaji as the protagonists as well as the notable presence of Takuya Eguchi, Showtaro MorikuboMamoru MiyanoRikiya KoyamaRomi PakuDaisuke Namikawa, and Yoshimasa Hosoya, among many others.

A year prior to that, he was an extra in the original movie Wonderful World (2010) directed by fellow seiyuu Daisuke Namikawa.

2021 was a turning point for Enoki as he challenged himself with stand-up/improvisation plays and acting on TV series for the very first time.

Still in the same year, Enoki got a role in the 5th episode of the crime drama Emergency Interrogation Room: Season 4. This was a voice-over role only as Enoki was cast as a robot.

Narration / Dubbing

Enoki is one of the most active young voice actors currently active in dubbing in Japan. He’s got over 40 dubbing credits under his belt which is quite impressive.

Junya Enoki Spiderman no way from home 2022
Junya Enoki’s press promotions for Spiderman No Way From Home (2022)

He is the official Japanese dubbing voice for Tom Holland, as such he’s been in the spotlight for his dubbing in the Spiderman movies and the Avengers movies in the MCU.

Aside from those, Enoki has credits dubbing in movies and/or TV series such as What If…?, Uncharted, The Devil All the Time, Alita: Battle Angel, Escape Room, Mad Max: Fury Road, IT, Supergirl, Tomb Raider, Squid Game, Blindspot, Outlander, between many more.

As far as narration goes, Enoki only started to be active around 2021, with only very few credits to his name up until now.

Although narration is still far from being the focus in his career, you can find him lending his talents in promotional videos and/or commercials for RISSHO University’s Gakusei no tsuitachi, WONDER FILMING~Taikan, and Revive! Treasures of Sleep in Egypt 2 (for National Geographic).

Drama CDs

When it comes to drama CDs, Junya Enoki has been quite active in the last couple of years.

Fans can find him both on otome-driven drama CDs, drama CD tie-ups for manga/anime/games as well as in BL – in which is more active.

He reprised his role as Rui Maita in the drama parts in THE IDOLM@STER SideM ST@RTING LINE -05 W and THE IDOLM@STER SideM ST@RTING LINE -06 S.E.M.

When it comes to situation CDs (regular recording and/or using a dummyhead mic), Enoki has credits in Re◆CARAT Vol.4, Giocoso, Peropero Sweet Valentine’s Day, Oshikari danshi CD 〜if〜, between others.

Music

Perhaps the field of work in the entertainment industry that goes the most under the radar for Junya Enoki is music.

He’s never ventured solo but fans can find him lending his singing skills to 2D music projects and while he’s not the most active in that field – he has less than 8 credits -, he is quite enthusiastic about his work in projects of this type.

As far as his singing skills go, Enoki has a rather sweet voice and he craftly matches it to the intensity required for the performances or to match the personalities of the characters he is singing as.

Expect him to work incredibly well as part of a group however, he is not the type of singer to stand out or, at least, he has never had the opportunity to showcase what he is made of as a singer.

Still, true to his calm and collected demeanor, he is not a flashy singer so do not expect him to do R&B riffing, ad-libs or any crazy belting because that is far from suiting his style as well as the style of the characters he’s usually cast as.

If you find Junya Enoki in the lineup for a 2D music project, expect him to be the anchor for that group, making sure all voice tones are leveled at all times.

He’s best known for being part of the following 2D music groups:

I♥B (2015 -)

Still in 2015, Enoki joined the cast of the smartphone rhythm game, I-Chu. Alongside Natsuki Hanae, Naoya Nakanishi, Toshiki Masuda, and Yuichiro Umehara, he is a part of the idol unit I♥B.

Since their debut, the group has shown a massive improvement in their vocals, with the major difference being felt in Nakajima and Ito‘s performances of ∞ Possibilities.

The mixed media project, 8P kicked off in 2016, leading to a creation of a radio show, a variety series that has spanned several DVDs and even music, when the group decided to start releasing their own music.

8P consist on Tasuku Hatanaka, Sho Nogami, Taku Yashiro, Junya Enoki, Arthur Lounsbery, Atsushi Kousaka, Takeaki Masuyama and Shoya Chiba.

In 2018 the group released the album, CV, featuring subunit songs.

Later in the same year, 8P released the full-length album, Happy Glitter, featuring the solo tracks as well as a new group song.

In 2020, 8P kicked off their duet series. Each CD included drama tracks and 1 song performed by 2 of the members of the group.

8P Unit Song Drama CD Vol.4

Enoki teamed up with Shoya Chiba to perform the song “Trick Mirror Requiem” in 8P Unit Song Drama CD Vol.4.

The duo’s dynamic and dramatic performance stood out among the CDs in that Unit Song Drama CD series.

8P mini album CV2

A year later, 8P was back in full force, bringing not only their 2nd full-length album “CV:2” but also a new single “Course of my fate“.

8P Course of my fate

8P performed the opening and ending songs for the otome game “Paradigm Paradox”, otome game by Otomate and available on Nintendo Switch in which all eight members of 8P voice characters.

During the summer of 2017 (July), 7Colors was announced as one of the two new units to debut part of a new smartphone game, “Anidol Colors“.

7Colors, unit consisting of Yuto SuzukiTaku YashiroJunta TerashimaYoshitaka YamayaYusuke ShiraiShunichi Toki and Junya Enoki, debuted in September with the single “Ride on☆ 7Dream“.

For this unit, Enoki performs in a sweet, slightly higher tone than usual, matching his character’s youthful yet cool vibe.

Ride on☆ 7Dream ended up being a trainwreck of a release filled with tacky melodies, overcrowded instrumentalization and subpar performances that overshadowed the talented vocals within the group, including Enoki‘s.

In 2018, the group released the single “Original Colors“.

Late in 2018, and after the game was renewed for a new season7colors released a digital single, “Welcome to Our LAND!”.

stirRhythm (2018)

stirRhythm was the main unit in Starry Palette, a mixed media project developed by DMM GAMES.

The project was announced early in 2017 but due to technical issues production was halted, only to be, months later, announced that production had resumed and the project was still alive.

Starry Palette planned to have music releases, a smartphone game, live performances, radio show (Toshiki Masuda and Yuto Suzuki are the hosts), manga, novels, among other things before distribution ended in 2019 and the whole project never got to see the light of day.

stirRhythm consisted of Toshiki Masuda, Yuto Suzuki, Junya Enoki, Shouta Aoi, Keisuke Komoto, Subaru Kimura, Sho Kiriake, Ihara Shin, Yuki Ono.

The group had 15 in-game songs, with some of those having been previously released as bonus content for Dengeki Girls among other otome magazines in Japan.

Surprise Star (2018 – 2019)

Surprise Star

In 2018, Enoki joined the lineup for the ambitious RPG-meets-2D idols smartphone game, IDOL FANTASY. He was part of Surprise Star, group that was added to the franchise a bit after the game’s launch.

The group consisted of Chiharu Sawashiro, Tasuku Hatanaka, Junya Enoki, Katsufumi Yachi and Ryo Hakateyama.

Mechanica Metallica (2021 -)

In 2021, Enoki joined the cast of Technoroid, a new generation mixed media project created by Noriyasu Agematsu (Uta no Prince-Sama, GHOST CONCERT, and VISUAL PRISON) in collaboration with RUCCA and Elements Garden.

He is a member of the EDM trio, メカニカメタリカ (Mechanica Metallica) alongside Takeo Otsuka, Akito Sugibayashi, and Shugo Nakamura.

The group released a preview of their debut song メタリックホリック (Metallic Holic) in 2021.

Variety

Enoki is well known for being calm and collected at all times however don’t expect him to be a “passive” type of guest or participant.

He always has something funny to tell or a witty remark to make something that, with his, sort of, deadpan delivery makes everyone around him crack up.

While he is not the most active seiyuu when it comes to participating in variety shows, he does have some credits.

Real Treasure Hunt (2017)

In 2017, Junya Enoki participated in Marine Entertainment’s variety show, Real Treasure Hunt.

The cast of Real Treasure Hunt “Challenge From Fuma” in Odawara included Yoshiki Nakajima, Yuto Adachi, Yuichiro Umehara, Daiki Yamashita, Yusuke Shirai, Shoya Chiba, Makoto Furukawa, Taishi Murata, Daiki Kobayashi, Yoshiki Nakajima and Hiroki Yasumoto (narrator).

He was paired up with fellow seiyuu Yusuke Shirai in a quest to find the treasure.

The duo was off to a great start, quickly solving the challenges laid in front of them however, they couldn’t keep up with the speed at which the winning duo was solving all the challenges.

Still, they showcased good chemistry, quick wits, and problem-solving skills in this game against the clock and when the time came to play ping pong with “unique” rackets, it was absolutely hilarious how Enoki – frying pan weilder – ended up making his life difficult during the game.

Seiyuu Kenyu Club (2019)

Junya Enoki Kenyu Club 2019

In 2019, Junya Enoki was a guest in the talk show “Seiyuu Kenyu Club” hosted by veteran seiyuu Kenyu Horiuchi and assistant Junta Terashima.

This show’s tone is a bit more serious – feeling really like an interview show more so than a variety or talk show – and, as such, viewers could find Enoki a bit calmer than usual yet still talking candidly about his career, passions.

The candid talk covered all sorts of topics across 4 episodes.

Junta Terashima, a close friend of his, put in the spotlight the wrong idea people may have that “Enoki has dead eyes”, something that prompted him to deny the accusation – “My eyes aren’t dead! I’m incredibly fine!” – as well as put the whole staff laughing.

Enoki shared stories from his childhood – from his first love, fears – to his career at the moment and how emotional he got in one of the dubs in a Spiderman movie.

PROJECT SCARD Prosuka TV (2020)

Junya Enoki PROJECT SCARD 2020

In 2020, Junya Enoki teamed up with Atsushi Kousaka to co-host the promotional talk show プロスカTV (Prosuka TV).

The show was created by FRONTIER WORKS to promote the otome game PROJECT SCARD in which all members of 8P were cast.

The pair co-hosted 3 episodes of the talk show, diving a bit into the characters in the series – with a bigger focus on their own characters, answered questions from fan mail and, went for a round of compliments that left both a bit shy.

Seiyuu to Yo Asobi (2019 and 2020)

Junya Enoki has guested twice on the popular daily seiyuu talk show Seiyuu to Yo Asobi.

In 2019, he was a guest on Subaru Kimura and Tomoko Kaneda‘s show, ending up talking a whole lot about the Spiderman movies.

In 2020, Junya Enoki was back for another episode, this time around on Hiro Shimono and Maaya Uchida‘s show.

For this episode, Enoki talked about his role as Shingo Ichinomiya, the main character in the anime series Hachinan tte, Sore wa Nai Deshou!.

Banpresto/Prebanlab (2021)

Episode 95 (2021)

In 2021, Junya Enoki guested twice on Prebanlab. The first appearance was in February (episode 95) and the 2nd appearance was in September (episode 101).

In both appearances, Enoki played around with Suzumura and embraced his camera shenanigans (during the goods showcase), handling really well all the teasing that is common on Prebanlab, charming everyone as a result.

Episode 101 (2021)

According to Kenichi Suzumura in episode 101, “he’s so entertaining, dangerously as well as the good type of entertaining (that we had to bring him on the show again)”.

Facts

Auditions still make him incredibly nervous

In 2019, on Seiyuu Kenyu Club, Enoki confessed that no matter how many times he attends an audition, he still can’t help but feel incredibly nervous about all the process and whether or not he did a good job to get a role in a production he really wanted to be in.

Used to be afraid of spiders… now not so much

Also on Seiyuu Kenyu Club, Enoki mentioned that after years dubbing Tom Holland in the Spiderman (Avengers and other MCU) movies, his fear of spiders has somewhat subdued.

Peaceful hobbies

Aside from work, Junya Enoki enjoys quite a bit of physical activities, naming kendo and walking as his favorite activities to occupy his free time.

Used to be really timid and quiet

Enoki shared that when he was a child, he didn’t talk much to people. There was even a time when he was in elementary school that, for three days straight, he did not talk to anyone including his parents.

A classmate of his was actually worried about the shy Enoki that his class ended up appointing him as their class representative in order to “correct Enoki-kun’s character“.

He now looks at that experience with fondness as leading his class and making his voice heard led him to grow as a person and, in a way, overcome a bit of his shyness.

He’s still quiet and timid but you can tell from his participation in events and variety shows that he is not afraid of taking the initiative.

    • If you’re looking for solo songs, he doesn’t have any – as he never made a solo debut. If you’re looking for songs in which he performed alongside other seiyuu (2D groups), I recommend searching for those groups and you will find their songs (minus the ones from the groups in Rejet, those songs are nowhere to be found, it seems).

  1. I think it’s worth a mention too that his cousin, Chika Anzai, is also a seiyuu! She debuted before him and was one of the contributing reasons as to why he became one. (can’t remember an exact source)
