Track analysis:

1 – Double Shooting Stars

QUELL are back with a new entry in the RE:START series, the 2nd one as a group. The group’s sound continues to morph and upgrade with each entry. Double Shooting Stars is a sweet, warm song that embraces acoustic elements and pop while not forgetting their trademark ethereal touch of electronica.

Acoustic guitars, delicate piano and strings melodies are at the core of this unique song. The verses progress smoothly, riding on that acoustic and warm sound, bringing electronica to the mix – even if just some touches instead of a very noticeable part – in the chorus sections.

As of late, QUELL have been betting on an acoustic sound and it has fared well with the quartet. Acoustic elements and minimalistic electronica make up for a groovy, feel good mix.

On the vocal we can start by mentioning that the complete final section of Double Shooting Stars is filled with the group’s latest polished strength (since Heaven’s Door), the harmonies.

There is so much going on in there, so much quality on the vocal end that one can’t stop being mesmerized by this talented group.

There is no specific person that really stood out in this song, it was a collective effort, one that once again reinforces our stance that this is one unique and exciting group to anticipate music from.

QUELL continue their streak of great, wholesome and unique songs in the RE:START series. Quality on both ends makes this release unforgettable.
