The newest entry in the Dear Vocalist Xtreme series is out and despite its mellow reception, it shot directly to the top 25 spots upon release. (2)YOU‘s “Dear Vocalist Xtreme” Entry No.4” sold a bit over 2.500 copies during its first week of sales, earning it a comfortable #20 on this week’s chart.

Buster Bros!!! VS MAD TRIGGER CREW

It’s been 6 weeks (you read it well) since Buster Bros!!! VS MAD TRIGGER CREW‘s album was released and the album has yet to drop from the top 35. Compared to last week, the album dropped 4 spots, from #28 to #32. A bit under 2.000 copies sold in the past week were more than enough to make this album the most successful release in the Hypnosis Mic franchise (with the longest stay on Oricon Weekly). The album has over 25.000 copies sold.

Mamoru Miyano “MAMORU MIYANO presents M&M THE BEST”

On the third week featured on this chart, Mamoru Miyano’s best of album “MAMORU MIYANO presents M&M THE BEST” had a massive drop. The album, previously ranked at #12 is now ranked #40 after only selling a 1.401 copies in the past week. The best of album has over 28.000 copies sold (cumulative).

BRBRookies!, newest unit part of the A3! franchise featuring the new cast, had a stellar debut on Oricon Daily, claiming the top 5 spots upon release. The single continued its campaign without dropping from top 10 during its first week of sales. By the end of the week and with a total of 20.784 copies sold, “GOLDEN ENCORE!” got their well deserved #3. BRBRookies! also took Billboard charts by a storm.

NEW ENTRY: Soma Saito “Date”

The single that has been the talk in town lately – much due to having clinched several top 10’s in almost all major music charts in Japan – is Soma Saito‘s “Date“. The single, that finds him exploring rock music as a singer/songwriter, shot to #6 on Oricon Daily upon release. The single then went up and down the chart (from 5 to 12) until the end of the week. “Date” has a bit over 13.000 copies sold, earning Saito yet another top 10 release in his career (his 3rd straight top 10 as a solo artist). “Date” got a well earned #7 on this week’s chart.

NEW ENTRY: IDOLiSH7 “Nanatsuiro REALiZE”

IDOLiSH7 made an impressive comeback with “Nanatsuiro REALiZE“. The new single didn’t debut within top 10 which ended up being a surprise but quickly picked its pace and rose to the top spots on Oricon Daily. By the end of the week, “Nanatsuiro REALiZE” had sold a bit over 10.000 copies, earning them strong #9. At the same time, IDOLiSH7 dominated the Billboard charts.

NEW ENTRY: Miyu Irino “FREEDOM”

Miyu Irino made his long awaited comeback after two years of hiatus. However, “FREEDOM” didn’t get the warm response that most anticipated it would have. “FREEDOM” debuted at #13 on Oricon Daily and never got to enter top 10 during its first week of sales. With a bit over 4.500 copies sold, the single sits comfortably at #15, matching “Uso to mirai to” (released in 2016) as his highest ranking single on Oricon Weekly.

This is the 5th straight week since Matenro‘s “Matenro -onnin rinshou” re-entered the charts. The most popular Hypnosis Mic crew continues to hold on to Oricon Weekly chart. With a bit over 1.200 copies sold, “Matenro -onnin rinshou” still dropped six spots to #50. The single now has over 10.000 copies sold (cumulative).
