New entries, interesting changes and surprising ranks complete the results for the last week of October.

This article covers the fifth week of October – which includes singles/albums released between 30/10/2017 and 05/11/2017.

Let’s take a look at the data.

Oricon Weekly Album ranking

NEW ENTRY: HEAVENS score second straight top 10

HEAVENS released the powerful mini-album “HEAVENS SKY” in the past week. The impressive mini-album shot straight to #8 with almost 10.000 copies sold on its first week.

NEW ENTRY: A3! units rank on top 5 + all A3! releases are currently charting on top 35

The past week was filled with A3! releases. Completing the Blooming CD series, the Autumn and Winter troupes released their mini-albums. The two releases charted incredibly high on Oricon and the weekly results showed once again how popular the franchise is. “Blooming AUTUMN” ranked #3 and “Blooming WINTER” ranked #4 on Oricon Weekly.

If there’s one thing we’ve noticed is that A3! releases tend to go hand in hand on the charts. They rise and fall together almost always with one rank of difference between them. This happens with Autumn and Winter‘s releases but also with the still charting Spring and Summer releases.

Blooming SPRING” and “Blooming SUMMER” are back on Oricon Weekly’s Top 35 after a week almost dropping from Top 50. Both releases occupy #31 and #32 on this week’s Oricon Weekly chart.
