OLDCODEX to disband in 2022

Lantis confirmed that OLDCODEX will disband after the release of their last song in 2022.

In August 2021, OLDCODEX announced its hiatus following Tatsuhisa Suzuki’s scandal. However, news arrived this week that the band is going to disband in 2022, after releasing 1 last song.

In an official announcement on their official website, Lantis thanks OLDCODEX’s fans for their continued support for 12 years of activities as well as confirmed that OLDCODEX’s last release is going to be the theme song for the 2nd Free! The Final Stroke movie, set to hit theatres in Japan on April 22, 2022.

The song is going to be included with the movie’s soundtrack CD instead of getting a standalone CD release. At the moment there is no date of release scheduled for the soundtrack CD.

For more details on this disbandment, please refer to Lantis’ official website (link below).
