Miyu Irino to join Toshiyuki Someya on “Galaxy Express 999” stage play

Miyu Irino is casted alongside Toshiyuki Someya for the commemorative “Galaxy Express 999” stage play.

Irino returned from his hiatus to study abroad back in late May, ever since he’s only been accepting acting offers.

This news was more than enough to drive all attention to this musical. Someya, popular method stage actor and Irino, back after a 5 month hiatus and currently one of the most promising actors in the business, will be acting together for this musical. Japanese fans can’t believe just how rare something like this is, as well as they are surprised Irino is yet again casted in another musical.

To commemorate 40 years since “Galaxy Express 999” manga was first released, a play was announced. The cast counts with many theatre/musical stars and is already one of the hottest topics among theatre enthusiasts/fans. Toshiyuki Someya will play Count Mecha and Miyu Irino is surprisingly going to play Tochirou Ooyama.

The play will be performed in three different venues. Galaxy Express 999 ~GALAXY OPERA~ will run during 2018’s Summer. More on dates and locations can be found HERE.
