Makoto Furukawa to release 7th single “Kaleidoscope”

Makoto Furukawa is gearing up to start a new chapter in his solo career following last year’s successful “Place your bets“. The 7th single, “Kaleidoscope”, hits stores in June.

Kaleidoscope (カレイドスコープ) is scheduled to be released on 12/06/2024, available in 3 editions: regular, limited A and B versions.

The cover art is the following for each edition:

  • Makoto Furukawa Kaleidoscope regular
  • Makoto Furukawa Kaleidoscope Limited A
  • Makoto Furukawa Kaleidoscope Limited B

According to Lantis, this is a concept single featuring three versions inspired by the four seasons.

The lead track “Kaleidoscope” evokes “spring”, themed around encounters, farewells, endings, and beginnings.

Each version includes coupling songs inspired by summer, autumn, and winter.

The tentative tracklist is the following for each edition:

Regular

1 - Kaleidoscope
2 - マーガレットの沈黙 [THEME "WINTER"]
3 - Kaleidoscope (off vocal)
4 - マーガレットの沈黙 (off vocal)

Limited A

1 - Kaleidoscope
2 - Like a sunflower [THEME "SUMMER"]
3 - Kaleidoscope (off vocal)
4 - Like a sunflower (off vocal)

Limited B

1 - Kaleidoscope
2 - incomplete [THEME "AUTUMN"]
3 - Kaleidoscope (off vocal)
4 - incomplete (off vocal)

The first limited edition A and B will each include an exclusive ending music video different from the regular edition.

The contents for each edition are the following:

  • Regular: CD + M-CARD (music video + making-of Kaleidoscope)
  • Limited A: CD + M-CARD (music video + making-of Kaleidoscope)
  • Limited B: CD + M-CARD (music video + making-of Kaleidoscope)

Pre-orders and first-press editions purchased at CDJAPAN come with the following bonuses:
