Soma Saito, Daisuke Kishio and Kento Ito head to Nara this fall for a special recitation play.
The recitation play こゝろ(Kokoro) is going to take place at Kofuku-ji Temple’s Chukon-do Hall in Nara on 14/10/2018. This is a special performance organized to commemorate the completion of Chukon-do Hall in Kofuku-ji’s Temple.
Kokoro is a novel by the Japanese author and philosopher Natsume Soseki. It was first published in 1914 in serial form in the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shinbun. This novel has an underlying meaning more than “heart” itself, this novel touches on the “the heart of things” or “feelings”. It deals with the transition from the Japanese Meiji society to the modern era by exploring the friendship between a young man (watashi) and an older man (sensei). This is considered as one of the best Japanese novels.
The cast counts with Soma Saito (as Watashi), Daisuke Kishio (as Sensei), Kento Ito (as K) and Shiina Natsukawa (as Wife).
