WOWOW released a commentary video on Pipuru featuring multi-talented male seiyuu-turned actor, Yuki Kaji.
Yuki Kaji is the lead actor for the original sci-fi and comedy TV drama, ぴぷる~AIと結婚生活はじめました~ (Pipuru ~ AI to Kekkon Seikatsu Hajimemashita ~).
The TV drama is going to be produced and distributed by WOWOW prime on 18/05/2020. The series counts with a total of 8 episodes.
A promotional poster is out.
Roughly, the synopsis is the following:
“The story takes place in 2030, year in which people can marry humanoid AI (artificial intelligence) robots. Kenichi Kumiki is a common salaryman that, in his life, failed to date a senior that he had longed for a couple of years.
Due to that, he decided to purchase a “beautiful girl AI equipped with a sexual intercourse function” as his wife and named it “Puru”. However, during their first night as a married couple, the AI refuses Kumiki’s advances, which prompted Kumiki to seek the developer of “Puru” to find a solution for the problem. Turns out that the AI has a defect and the settings cannot be changed, therefore it will continue to reject his advances. That is when the AI’s developer, Kaede Miyama, makes a surprising proposal to Kumiki…”
Kaji will be acting as Kenichi Kumiki, the drama’s lead character.
An official profile photo of Yuki Kaji for the drama is out.
A commentary video, featuring Yuki Kaji and shot in Kyoto in February, is out.

A note that, this is not Kaji’s first ever leading role. In 2011, Kaji was casted in the leading role opposite Wataru Hatano, in the live action adaptation of Kami Voice: The Voice Makes a Miracle. However, Kaji’s leading role in Pipuru ~ AI to Kekkon Seikatsu Hajimemashita ~ is his first ever role in an original TV drama.

Do you have any idea where we can watch this?
Hello. Given that WOWOW is a subscription only service in Japan, I’d suggest waiting for the release on DVD (it is likely it will be released on BD and or DVD).
