Unfortunate news for the franchise’s fans as IDOLiSH7 Second BEAT! is postponed after 4 episodes.
IDOLiSH7 Second BEAT! premiered on 05/04/2020. Unfortunately, due to restrictions regarding Coronavirus spread and the state of emergency issued in Japan, the series won’t be aired as originally planned.
According to Lantis, IDOLiSH7 Second BEAT!‘s 4th episode is still going to air as planned but after that the series will be postponed, with restart not defined to any specific date. Instead a rerun of IDOLiSH7‘s 1st season will air to fill in the gaps while staff analyze the situation.
TROYCA, the studio behind the animation and production of the anime also issued a statement in which they mentioned that, in their efforts to help preventing the spread of the new coronavirus, they were forced to adjust the schedule of the whole project.
The company also states that they has switched to working from home to ensure the safety of their employees and creators and further prevent the spread of infection.
With that being said, IDOLiSH7 Second BEAT! will return as soon as the situation with Coronavirus is, in some way, contained in Japan.
According to Lantis, updates will be made as soon as the series is able to resume airing.
