Hypnosis Mic anime season 2: greenlit

Will there be a Hypnosis Mic anime season 2?” has been the biggest question made by fans of the franchise since 2020. And the answer is: there will be a continuation of the stories unfolding in the series.

This weekend, during Anime Japan 2023, EVIL LINE RECORDS announced that Hypnosis Mic, the wildly popular mixed media hip-hop project, is getting a 2nd anime season.

The 2nd season is confirmed to premiere on October 6, 2023.

This is a direct follow-up to 2020’s anime adaptation, Hypnosis Mic-Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima.

The 1st season of the anime series featured the main crews in the franchise – Buster Bros!!!, MAD TRIGGER CREW, Fling Posse and Matenro -, as well as counted with brief cameos by some characters in other crews.

More information was unveiled at Hypnosis Mic 9th LIVE “ZERO OUT”, the franchise’s 9th live held at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on April 15 and 16, 2023.

Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima + has animation by A1 Pictures and will count with all groups in the franchise, including Bad Ass Temple and Dotsuitare Hompo.

What is Hypnosis Mic?

Hypnosis Mic is a mixed-media hip-hop project by EVIL LINE RECORDS. It launched in 2017.

In 2018, the project skyrocketed in popularity. It now is in a very exclusive group of mixed-media/2D music projects with over 1 million albums sold.
