Track analysis:

1 – Spark in the night

Funky guitar riffs, jazzy drums, suggestive piano melodies and playful brass paint a glamorous soundscape with room for a whole lot of allure. Spark in the night captures the elegance of jazz – with groovy bass lines, classy piano melodies – and gives it some touches of pop and rock to craft this danceable tune that will please event those not fond of jazz.

A sequence of solos is the perfect finishing touch to this song. First the bass solo – a treat for bass lovers – and then a guitar solo in the bridge, one of the best in anisong this year. Both captured the song’s tension, playing around with it in a way that left you wanting for more.

On the vocal end, F☆light work well as unit, having a certain balance and quality that makes their performance stand out. A vast improvement in comparison with their previous outing with Galaxy Dream.

All in all, F☆light make their comeback in style, leading to a truly entertaining performance.
