On August 13th, “Scat Babys Show!!“, radio show hosted by Wataru Hatano and Takuya Sato, held a special talk event. We bring you a brief summary of the event.

According to Nizista the event was “a little bit sexy“.

The event was held on the last day of Comiket and both Hatano and Sato were impressed that there were some of the spectators that had attended the well known convention. The conversation topic changed quickly when both noticed that they kicked off this event with background music from the other events outside of that room.

Michael Jackson’s music led to a series of funny events unfolding early on. “The King of Pop is amazing!“, “Michael, do you think you’re doing a good job?“, “Thanks for coming Michael, goodbye” were just some of the observations made by the amused pair. When the time came to introduce the guests, everyone was surprised that both Katsuyuki Konishi and Soma Saito moonwalked their way to the stage, once again raising the excitement inside of the venue and setting a friendly and laidback mood with everyone present.

The dresscode for the daytime session was formal wear so everyone was suited up.

Among the topics explored, Hatano talked about his first regular spot on a radio show with Konishi, Saito mentioned his experience as an actor for Hatano‘s “ほとんど顔は映ってないけど” music video (released in 2013), Sato was too nervous because of Konishi‘s presence (a senpai from the same talent agency that he respects a lot), and Konishi mentioned that all 4 of them actually know each other well thanks to those adventures (and anime roles) but the topic for the first part of the event ended up being IDOLiSH7. Hatano, Saito and Sato plus Konishi are all important for the game franchise – now greenlit for an anime adaptation to air in January -, Konishi is their boss and the three of them are TRIGGER, the popular sexy pop act that has been stealing number ones on Oricon.

The atmosphere of the event changed when they kicked off the special corners – which included talking about favorite ice cream, fetishes, what would they do if they were women and Saito‘s sparkly eyes when talking about tights. According to Nizista, it was a boy’s school talk with a lot of not safe for work topics in the mix (something their radio show is well know for).

After several not safe for work conversations – much thanks to Konishi and Hatano‘s interventions – Sato and Hatano mentioned that they want to win the “Best Sexy Radio Award” at next year’s Aniradio awards.

The topics “Soma Saito suspected of having licked a recorder when he was in elementary school” and “Wataru Hatano the weird guy who is, after school, checking the warmth of the chair of a girl whom he likes” were the catalyst to a lot of laughter among the cast and spectators. By the end of the show, the cast concluded that Sato and Konishi are serious with a bit of a jokester in them when talking about NSFW topics, whereas Hatano and Saito are complete perverts with no filter.

The event was borderline safe for work – as stated by Sato during the special interview that followed this report – and a lot of fun for everyone involved.
