6 - バイバイBoring Days!! -off vocal-

Track by track analysis:

3 – 月下美人

Dramatic strings and melancholic piano melodies take over this song. The pacing is slow, making Getsuka Bijin‘s solemn vibe take the listener over. Guitar riffs are emotional, and drums and bass add depth to a track that, otherwise, would be too dramatic. Massive props for the poignant guitar solo in the bridge that further draws the listener in.

Vocally, this is Taito Ban’s best performance. His vocals are gentle and, are the same time, carry a sadness and melancholy that stay with the listener. Top marks.

4 – バイバイBoring Days!!

This release wraps up with the duet song, Bye Bye Boring Days!!. For this one Ayumu goes the playful route with funky riffs, bassy drums and brass bringing out the fun. The verses have a comfortable tempo but it is the chorus that packs up a lot of energy and speed, making this track stand out.

On the vocal end, Taito Ban and Tsubasa Sasa make a good duo, with their vocals being at almost the same range and with a similar tone, something that works in their favor for their group parts. Individually, both delivered strong performances overflowing with energy. Entertaining track.

Final considerations

The VAZZROCK franchise has been improving the quality of the 2nd season of the bi-color series.

This entry counts with one of the best solo tracks in the series, as Ayumu Tachibana impresses with its dramatic vibe but more than that, Taito Ban went all out and delivered quite an impressive performance, showcasing a consistency and quality in Getsuka Bijin that we were not prepared for.

The tie-up track, Bye Bye Boring Days!! is fun and has a youthful vibe, however, it slightly fails the mark to be this release’s highlight. Still, the teamwork between Taito Ban and Tsubasa Sasa is commendable. Their vocals blended well and both brought their best to the table for this song.

All in all, Tachibana Ayumu-aquamarine×citrine- is a solid entry in the series, a serious improvement over Ayumu’s first entry in the bi-color series. A must listen.
