AONI Production’s 50th anniversary symphonic drama to be released on Blu-ray

After the cancellation announcement, fans and seiyuu alike were devastated. However, AONI Production made sure that this celebration was one to remember.

AONI Production, in collaboration with TOKYO MX, held and recorded the symphonic drama titled 火の鳥 (Hi no Tori) without an audience.

The performance was initially scheduled to be held at Maihama Amphitheater on 29/02/2020 and 01/03/2020 but was then cancelled over Coronavirus concerns.

The legendary seiyuu talent agency still went through with the performance however it was recorded with no audience.

AONI is going to release the performance on Blu-ray, something ticket holders will be able to get if they choose to exchange the ticket for the Blu-ray (the option for a full refund is still available for those that do not want the Blu-ray).

According to AONI, the Blu-ray will ship around late April 2020. More details on it will be available starting March 6, 2020 on AONI’s official website.
